Knee push-up

A push-up from the knees that trains the same chest, shoulder and arm muscles with less load while you build up to full push-ups.

BeginnerNo equipmentLow impactSuggested: 10 reps

How to do it

  1. Kneel and place your hands on the floor slightly wider than your shoulders.
  2. Walk your hands forward and lift your feet until your body is straight from knees to head.
  3. Bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the floor.
  4. Press back up until your arms are straight.

Form tips

  • Keep your hips in line with your shoulders rather than bending at the waist.
  • Put a folded towel or mat under your knees for comfort.
