A squat with the bar resting on the front of your shoulders that keeps you upright and hammers your quads and core.

AdvancedBarbellLow impactSuggested: 8 reps

How to do it

  1. Rest the bar on the front of your shoulders with your elbows pointing forward and high.
  2. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and brace your core.
  3. Squat straight down, keeping your torso as upright as you can.
  4. Drive up through your feet and keep your elbows lifted.

Form tips

  • Let the bar rest on your shoulders, with your fingertips only guiding it.
  • If your elbows drop, the bar will roll forward.
