Kettlebell deadlift

Lift a kettlebell from between your feet to standing to learn the hip hinge and strengthen your back side.

BeginnerKettlebellLow impactSuggested: 12 reps

How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and a kettlebell on the floor between your feet.
  2. Push your hips back, bend your knees and grip the handle with both hands.
  3. Brace your core and stand up tall, squeezing your glutes at the top.
  4. Hinge back down with a flat back to set the bell down softly.

Form tips

  • Keep your back flat and your arms long the whole time.
  • Push the floor away rather than pulling with your arms.
