Dumbbell glute bridge

A glute bridge with a dumbbell resting on your hips that adds load to build stronger glutes and hamstrings.

BeginnerDumbbellsLow impactSuggested: 12 reps

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat, hip-width apart.
  2. Rest a dumbbell across your hip bones and hold it steady with both hands.
  3. Press through your heels to lift your hips until your body forms a line from shoulders to knees.
  4. Pause and squeeze, then lower your hips with control.

Form tips

  • Keep your ribs down so the lift comes from your hips.
  • Hold the weight still so it does not roll.
