Plank leg lift

A forearm plank where you lift one straight leg at a time, challenging your core to stay steady while working your glutes.

IntermediateMatLow impactSuggested: 30 sec

How to do it

  1. Start in a forearm plank with your elbows under your shoulders.
  2. Squeeze your glutes and lift one straight leg a little off the floor.
  3. Hold briefly, then lower the foot back down.
  4. Repeat with the other leg, alternating each rep.

Alternate sides with each rep.

Form tips

  • Lift only as high as you can without your hips twisting or your back arching.
  • Keep pressing your forearms into the floor.
