Squat thrusts

A burpee without the jump or push-up that drives your feet back to a plank and in again for full-body conditioning.

IntermediateNo equipmentHigh impactSuggested: 12 reps

How to do it

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. Squat down and plant your hands on the floor in front of your feet.
  3. Jump your feet back into a high plank.
  4. Jump your feet back in toward your hands and stand up tall.

Form tips

  • Brace your core so your hips do not sag in the plank.
  • Step your feet back and in one at a time to lower the impact.
