Long-arm crunch

A crunch with your arms stretched overhead, which makes your abs lift a longer lever on every rep.

IntermediateMatLow impactSuggested: 12 reps

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Stretch your arms overhead with your biceps beside your ears.
  3. Curl your head, arms and shoulders up off the floor together.
  4. Lower back down slowly.

Form tips

  • Keep your arms in line with your ears rather than swinging them forward.
  • Bend your elbows and hold your head to make it easier.
