Inchworm

A walk-out from a forward fold to a plank and back that warms up the hamstrings, shoulders and core.

IntermediateNo equipmentLow impactSuggested: 6 reps

How to do it

  1. Stand tall, then hinge forward and place your hands on the floor, bending your knees as needed.
  2. Walk your hands forward one at a time until you reach a high plank.
  3. Pause with your body in a straight line.
  4. Walk your hands back toward your feet and roll up to standing.

Form tips

  • Keep your legs as straight as is comfortable to feel the hamstring stretch.
  • Brace your core so your hips do not sag in the plank.
