BeginnerNo equipmentLow impactSuggested: 20 sec per side

How to do it

  1. Stand tall and raise your left arm overhead.
  2. Bend your left elbow so your hand drops behind your head toward your upper back.
  3. Hold your left elbow with your right hand.
  4. Gently ease the elbow toward the back of your head until you feel a stretch along the back of your arm.
  5. Hold, then switch arms.

Work one side, then switch. Timed sets run once per side.

Form tips

  • Brace your core lightly so your lower back does not arch.
  • Use light pressure and ease off if your shoulder pinches.
